Dear Friends,
Addiction is a problem that has not gone away and gets worse and worse, year after year. It seems that almost everyone you talk to knows someone struggling with addiction. Many people don’t know where to turn, or that help is available.
America’s Keswick opened its doors 127 years ago when the Colony of Mercy began its addiction recovery program for men. In 2015, our addiction recovery program for women started with Barbara’s Place. Both four-month residential programs are free of charge except for a one-time $500 application fee.
On Saturday, May 10, 2025, we will have our 17th Annual Family Freedom Walk - our biggest fundraiser of the year. This year’s goal is to raise $175,000 for addiction recovery. We would love for you to come and join us for the walk or “rock” the rocking chairs. Please note the time change this year. Registration will begin at 11, and the walk starts at 11:30, then lunch at 12:30, followed by a brief awards ceremony and ends with a softball game. If you cannot make the walk, you can still participate by praying and fundraising or giving a gift.
We need your help! Would you please consider a gift today? Your gift will help countless men and women on their journey to freedom from addiction. Freedom is only possible with Jesus Christ because nothing is impossible with Him. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
Thank you for considering partnering with us and being part of the life-transforming stories that take place right here at the Colony of Mercy and Barbara’s Place. My personal fundraising goal this year is $3,000. You can make a difference with any size gift by mailing a check in the enclosed envelope, calling 800.453.7942, or scanning the QR Code below.
I am grateful to be part of America’s Keswick Family, where God speaks to hearts and transforms lives. You can be, too, when you support the Family Freedom Walk!
Abiding in Him,
Karen Rigby
